God-sized appointments! The very best kind!

Last year, our family had a prayerful goal to feed 1,000 children for a month through Feed the Hungry. I believed we would finish this by this spring. In God’s mercies, we were able to meet that goal in October of last year. Through a series of events, Jess from Feed the Hungry stopped by yesterday to meet us.

What a God-sized appointment it was for all of us as we shared our hearts with one another. Such a connection. It turns out that she was in fostercare/adoption before her work with feed the hungry. She has a personal story that resonates with ours. I am reading a book she left for me, The Dark Hole of World Hunger. Page 46 “In the final analysis, world hunger comes down to the question: Who shall starve? Who shall survive?

Each day 251,000 children are fed through Feed the Hungry! We are in the process of our next 1,000 children. This is in our hearts in honor of Jessie’s journey and request to feed hungry children, “because I was hungry.” We do this from the sales of the girls art that we have turned into jewelry. Each sale feeds a child for a month. It is God working though our broken.
